We have completed the development of stand-alone RS485/232-to-PLC converters dedicated for Automatic Meter Reading. These devices are offered as off-the-shelf products, or as a licenseable reference design that our customers can use as a base for development of a product customized to meet their particular needs.

2011-04-05 The revision 1.7.2 of our powerline modem reference design has just been released. It improves the power efficiency and the range of the modem.

Along with the reference design we now offer our first higher layer protocol targeted at AMR applications. The AMRP (Automatic Meter Reading Protocol) provides simple and very low cost means of networking energy meters together. Read more about our AMR solution here...

2010-05-25 We have completed the development of a second modulation scheme for our Power Line Modem Reference Design. The new phase modulation (BPSK) is now offered along with the previously available frequency modulation (BFSK). It achieves a lower error rate under the same work conditions, at a cost of increased processor load.
2010-04-16 The 1.7 revision of the Power Line Modem Reference Design has been complete for a couple of months and we are very happy to announce that it is very successful both technically and in terms of market acceptance. We are ready to deliver! Order now!
2009-12-09 The passing year abounded with interesting designs. Particularly, we became experts in the field on NiMH battery charging and we mastered short range secure radio communications in the 868 MHz band.

We are currently completing the development of the next power line modem version (1.7). A new demodulation method, an improved power amplifier and a receive path redesigned from the ground up, are letting us to reach a range, that we didn't expect to even come close to when we were starting our modem research. New printed circuit boards should be available for purchase as early as January 2010.

2009-02-16 We have completed the 1.4 revision of our Power Line Modem Reference Design. New hardware further reduces the BOM cost, while achieving signaling speeds of 14400 bps.
2008-11-30 We have released a new Reference Design - a secure encrypting bootloader for Microchip 16-bit microcontrollers. It uses AES to protect your firmware upgrade files against intelectual property theft.
